So like the good little nerd that I am, I went and saw Battle:LA on Saturday.  At it’s core it is a war film, not a SCI-FI epic like some would believe.  The majority of the movie is centered around a cohort of Marines as they work to save civilians trapped in an overrun area of LA.  I thought is was definitely worth the trip to the movie theater.  The cinematography is pretty impressive, the action level is consistent, and the acting is well done for the most part.
