It’s a bunny.

A very nice Flickr find in Miguel Angel Avila. We love bunnies!!!

Yōkai Daizukai, an illustrated guide to yōkai authored by manga artist Shigeru Mizuki, features a collection of cutaway diagrams showing the anatomy of 85 traditional monsters from Japanese folklore. Wicked.

Finally got around to finishing my city-destroying monster. I have been adding to this drawing in my sketchbook since I got it back in June. This will probably change a little more. I would like to add a shadow under the monster… and possibly a few more touches of fire.
Not gonna lie. I think this is pretty freaking awesome! Animation is by Michael Lubin.

Here is some work by Rowen Tedge. He has some really nifty iphone drawings. I am especially fond of these mouth variations. Dude has got some very cool stuff indeed.

So I saw Scott Pilgrim vs. the World on Saturday afternoon. I have to say…this “epic of epic epicness” is truly epic. The movie was smart, funny, and visually interesting. This film is based on a series of comics by Bryan Lee O’Malley. It’s getting some mixed reviews, but overall I thought it was great. It’s worth the trip to the theater for sure.

Yet another amazing creation born from Adult Swim. Robot Unicorn Attack is the most addictive flash game ever. Plus the song is pretty catchy. I was introduced to this internet gem while making rounds at work. I caught a couple of students playing it on the classroom projection podium. After that… I was hooked. You should definitely play… like now!

Ingri Haraldsen is an Norwegian artist that I stumbled across while looking through the Monster Mania pool on flickr. She has got some really amazing stuff on both her website and her flickr photostream. You should definitely check out both if you get a chance.
