Will You Defend with Force or with Love? Choose Wisely.

Robots Robots Robots Slideshow!

Robots Robots Robots was a huge success!  We had about 100 people show up over the course of the evening.  The DEFEND THE CITY mural was well received.  People were really excited to be there!  Dennis Nyback put on a great show and was a huge crowd pleaser.  Here is a slide show that office mate William Robert Taylor took.  Enjoy!

PSA: Rogue Monster

Be careful when walking outside in the early morning hours.  There is an unidentified monster on the loose. Stay away from areas at the edge of the cities boarder.  If you are approached by this creature run away immediately.  Do not stand and stare… like this guy.

Site News and Planning!

I just wanted to let everyone know that DEFEND THE CITY really appreciates your continued readership!  Our audience has been steadily growing over the past six months and we love it!

With that in mind, we are currently planning bigger and better things for DEFEND THE CITY!  We will be launching a new site format this summer.  Our biggest challenge at the moment is working to improve the quality of our stories and illustrations.

The new format is currently TOP SECRET!  But, I think it’s going to be great and over the course of the next few months we will be working hard to ensure that our site gets better and better!

We will continue to have our art blog, and we will be adding new things to keep you and ourselves entertained!

If you haven’t already, be sure to look us up on Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr!

Thanks so much for your readership!

T-Shirt Extravaganza!

On Saturday, Damon and I experimented with screen printing on t-shirts.  The head of Pacific Northwest College of Art’s Printmaking Department was gracious enough to let us use the facilities.  Heather McLaughlin, PNCA’s Print Technician, also volunteered to assist with the project.  She helped Damon and I get situated in the labs, and got us up and running.  Considering that my screen printing experience is fairly limited, her presence was greatly appreciated.  In addition to working as a Print Tech Heather also teaches with PNCA’s Youth Art Program and is the acting Executive Director of Flight 64.  You can check out her wicked awesome artwork HERE.
