Honors of Heart City: A Guide to Citations for Meritorious Service

Throughout history, Citizens have been honored for their dedicated service and pledge to protect the populous of Heart City.   Many Citizens have sacrificed a great deal, often placing themselves in harms way to protect the city from those who wish to attack it. Some Citizens have served Heart City to such an extent that they deserve special recognition. In 17,024 the Ministry of Heart commissioned the creation of a series of Medals or Citations to formally recognize those Citizens that have shown a true commitment to the mission of the Ministry, and the protection of Heart City.

Each Citation is awarded for a specific act. Citizens must demonstrate certain qualities to be considered for certain Citation.

The Triple Star is awarded to those Citizens who are seriously wounded while protecting Heart City from creatures wishing to attack it, or take over Heart Tower. The medal was created after the first great war, just after the establishment of Heart City. Among the living recipients of the Triple Star award, Citizen Rusty, Bilko, and Skull Bunny.

The Ruby Rabbit is one of the Ministry of Heart’s highest Honors. The citation is awarded to Citizens that make advancements in science and industry. Heart City strives to be on the cutting edge of the scientific community, and those who assist in facilitating this goal are rewarded with the Ruby Rabbit and a generous grant to continue their research. The first recipient of the Ruby Rabbit was awarded to Dr. Bernard Bunnikins for his work in harnessing the power of the Crystal Artery and the creation of the Heart Tower.

The Ministry Star is given to high ranking members of the Ministry of Heart. This citation is given to a Citizen upon entry into office. The Ministry Star identifies the rank of an official by the color of the inner star. An inner star that is red is given to Council members. An inner star that is green is given to Regional Representative. An inner star that is purple is given to those individuals serving in the executive office.

The Royal Heart is the highest honor awarded by the Ministry of Heart. This award is given to Citizens that act selflessly and fearlessly in the protection of Heart City. Citizens must demonstrate loyalty to the tenets of Heart City and protect it at all cost to be considered for the Royal Heart. The most recent recipient of this award is Skull Bunny for his heroic actions while protecting the city from Skyladon.
